Grammoji

 

For the launch of Animoji on iOS and the introduction of iPhone X, we wanted to show users what was possible with the new feature. So, what better way to show off cute facial mapping animal lens technology than make some killer music videos.

With just three weeks until the 2018 Grammys, and media on hold, but nothing to run, we licensed tracks from two nominated artists and created a pair of spots, featuring their Animoji likenesses lip-synching songs from the albums for which they were nominated. Everything was shot in camera on the iPhone X, then cobbled together—in the most impressive sense of cobbling—by a team of sleep-deprived wizards at Wolf & Crow.

 
 

'Redbone' aired immediately following Childish Gambino's performance.

 

'Stir Fry' by Migos followed the Rap Album of the Year award.
